Fascinoma of the Day #1: A poorly differentiated tumor of the prostate

Drs. Alessandro DeVito and Paul Shitabata presented an example of a poorly differentiated tumor found in a prostate TURP specimen. Utilizing a series of immunoperoxidase studies, the correct diagnosis is deduced.

Dr. Shitabata presented an interesting analysis of the critical histopathological changes that can distinguish between backwash ileitis occurring in ulcerative colitis versus Crohn's disease involving the cecum.
